What an alpha version means for your company, where to see the PBX version, and what version 0.3 does not have yet.
For PBX version 0.3 (alpha)
Version 0.3 is the first alpha version of SAMPBX. The first few SAMPRO customers get it.
What this means for you
- SAMPRO engineers install, update and support the PBX.
- SAMPBX is free for now for up to 5 extensions, and no license key is needed. More in the article Plans and the license in PBX 0.3.
- If anything works differently from what is written here, write a request in the customer portal — this way the alpha version gets ready sooner.
Where to see the PBX version
- Open “System” → “Updates” — the page header shows which SAMPBX version is installed.
- The version is also shown in “Maintenance”, on the “Server” card, in the “SAMPBX” row.
Only the administrator sees both pages.
What version 0.3 does not have yet
These features will come in later versions:
- voicemail and email notifications;
- phone auto-provisioning and a QR code for softphones;
- several administrators with roles, and two-factor sign-in to the panel;
- conferences, call parking, a call center supervisor mode;
- a number blacklist;
- licenses and paid modules;
- moving settings over from FreePBX and Issabel.
This documentation describes only what the version 0.3 panel already has.
