Installation
In version 0.3, SAMPRO engineers install the PBX. What you need to prepare and what you get after the installation.
For PBX version 0.3 (alpha)
In version 0.3 (alpha), SAMPRO does the installation: an engineer installs the PBX on your server and checks that it works.
What to prepare
- A server or virtual machine that meets the requirements from the article Server and network requirements.
- Access to the server for the SAMPRO engineer: a user with administrator rights (sudo) and SSH sign-in with a key.
- Open ports on the router or in the cloud security group.
- A domain for the panel, if you need one, already pointing to the server.
- Connection details from the telephony provider: the server address, the login and password or the terms of a connection by IP, your city phone numbers.
- A place for backups: a network folder (SMB), an SFTP server or S3 storage.
How the installation goes
- The installation takes about 10 minutes.
- The installer asks one question — the panel’s domain. Without a domain, the panel gets its own SAMPBX certificate.
- Together with the PBX, the server console is installed on the server — a screen with the panel address and a menu on the server’s monitor. More in the article Server console.
What you get
- The address of the admin panel.
- The installation code — you can see it on the server’s screen and when you sign in to the server over SSH. The code changes after every reboot.
With them, you set the administrator’s password at the first sign-in: First sign-in to the panel.
Step-by-step instructions for installing the PBX yourself will appear here with the version that customers install themselves.
